“Renshaw hits the heights” (Bridport News, 13 Sept. 2018): Ben started in the elite field of the Great North Run in Newcastle, the biggest half-marathon race worldwide, and finished 169th out of 43,000 runners – meaning he was in the first 0.4% of all runners on that day! Read in this article.

“Jurassic Run just fantastic” (Bridport News, 16 August 2018): Despite gales, rain and mist, the Bridport Jurassic Coast Run attracted 167 participants in the half-marathon and the 10k – a new record, as you can read here.

“Community groups make donation to help project promote active wellbeing” (Bridport News, 12 May): Bridport Runners and Brit Valley rotary Club, organisers of the annual Jurassic coast Run, have given a donation of £ 1,000 to ‘Reach’, a project run by the independent mental health charity, the Dorset Mental Health Forum. “Sam set for marathon” (Bridport News, 5 April 2018): Sam Rose will represent Bridport Runners in this year’s London Marathon. Sam uses the prestigious race, as well, to raise funds for “MHE and Me UK”, a small charity supporting children with the rare genetic bone disorder Multiple Hereditary Exostoses (MHE). “Renshaw takes Bay 10k record” (Bridport News, 15 March 2018): Bridport Runners’ Ben Renshaw blew the field away to not only win the Weymouth Bay 10k but also set a new course record. Read more here.

“Parkrun joy for Bridport’s Ben” (Bridport News, 17 January 2018): Bridport Runners have started the new running season with their first Club Championship. The first race (out of a selection of 14) was the Weymouth parkrun. Read more here

“Field trip: Human vs. Horse” (NPR Radio, 20 October 2015): Adam Cole from the US public radio NPR not only made a great feature about “The Man vs Horse” (“The Neighs Have It: Horse Outruns Man, But Just Barely“), in which  Bridport Runners competed this year. He also published a fantastic, highly amusing short film on NPR’s science youtube channel, “Skunk Bear: Human vs. Horse Marathon”, which even shows Ben in it!
