Bridport Runners take off for Berlin Marathon

Just a couple more hours and a handful of Bridport Runners are on their way to run the 41. Berlin Marathon. Brian, Kazy, Vicky, Ben, Hagen and Brian’s son Dan are travelling from Bridport to London-Heathrow tomorrow morning and then onwards to Berlin where the famous race – allegedly the fastest and flatest marathon course in the world – will start on Sunday morning, 7.45 am (BST). The runners of whom some will be accompanied by their families had the privilege to be trained individually by Joe, Bridport Runners’ Club coach, within the last months.

Vicky will not only run to beat the time of her first marathon in Bournemouth last year but for a charity called “Get kids going”, as well. This is a charity aimed to help disabled children into sport and even progress to the Paralympics. So, if you want to support Vicky, please donate some money on her fundraising website for which she would be very grateful.

Good luck to all of you in Berlin!
