Mendips Marauder 50: Kazy and Ben in another epic long-distance run

Mendips Marauder 50 - Kazy running up that hillThey did it again! Ultra-Team Kazy and Ben (Adam unfortunately was injured) went on an epic run last Saturday, the Mendips Marauder 50. And yes, the “50” in it stands for 50 miles! “It was a spectacular westbound course across Somerset with climbs and stunning views including Cheddar Gorge and Wooky Hole and arriving onto the beautiful sands at Weston Super Mare beach in the balmy warm evening breezes”, raved Kazy about the event.

For her, it was a special event, too, as it was “running home to where I was born and my first time back there since.” The course itself was often craggy with tricky underfoot and gruelling hard hills stacking up from mile 26. “And considering we lost our track in places and totted up an additional 2.5 hours to our time.” It was, by the way, the 4th Ultra race that Kazy and Ben had done in less than a year. Well done to you guys!
