London Marathon: Claire and Sarah run for charities

As thousands of runners are getting ready for the London Marathon on 26th of April, Claire and Sarah (Horton) would like to ask everyone for their support for two charities they are running for at this event. Claire picked YoungMinds which cares about people with mental health issues, Sarah is running for Weldmar Hospice Trust, providing specialist palliative care for people with a life-threatening illness in north, south and west Dorset. Claire, who works in the NHS as a Community Mental Health Nurse, says: “I am passionate about promoting positive mental wellbeing and reducing the stigma that is all to often linked to mental illness. This is a charity that raises awareness of and empowers young people with mental health issues through support, advice, training and campaigning.” She has set up her donation page at http://uk.virginmoneygiving. com/ClaireWynn, “or you catch me at a club night to sign my sponsorship form”.

Sarah has to raise £1,200. People can donate online to www.justgiving.com/Sarah-Horton6 or text SHLM62 to the number 70070 with a £2, a £5 or a £10 donation. The Trefoild Guild are holding a cream tea afternoon on Easter Sunday, 2:30 pm at St Johns Church in West Bay raising money for Sarah.
